Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem
I stood within your gates, O Jerusalem
With joy I came, my heart at rest again
The city built up on your promise
A refuge upheld by God's right hand
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
May those who love you be secure
Peace be within your walls,
And safety in your doors
For the sake of brothers, friends, and kin
I pray again and again—
Peace be with you, Jerusalem
For the house of the Lord our God is near
We lift our voices, cast away all fear
Within your courts, we seek your good
We pray for your peace as often as we should
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
May those who love you be secure
Peace be within your walls,
And safety in your doors
For the sake of brothers, friends, and kin
I pray again and again—
Peace be with you, Jerusalem
Through every trial, every storm
Still we will pray
For mercy flowing like a river
Day by day
O city of David, heart of the King
May Mashiach return to your gates
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
May those who love you be secure
Peace be within your walls,
And safety in your doors
For the sake of brothers, friends, and kin
I pray again and again—
Peace be with you, Jerusalem
Peace be with you… Jerusalem
“Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem; “May those who love you be at peace.”

1A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, “We are going to the House of the LORD.”
2Our feet stood inside your gates, O Jerusalem,
3Jerusalem built up, a city knit together,
4to which tribes would make pilgrimage, the tribes of the LORD, —as was enjoined upon Israel— to praise the name of the LORD.
5There the thrones of judgment stood, thrones of the house of David.
6Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem; “May those who love you be at peace.
7May there be well-being within your ramparts, peace in your citadels.”
8For the sake of my kin and friends, I pray for your well-being;
9for the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I seek your good.
